Lynyrd Skynyrd Discography
One of the most famous rock and roll bands is Lynyrd Skynyrd. They started in 1964, and they named their band after their high school gym coach. Throughout the years, they created many records that have hit the number one spot on music charts all over the world. There are seven band members that stayed together through the years performing excellent songs and albums. They also traveled all over the world, and are still performing today.

Lynyrd Skynyrd
The first album they released was in August 1973. The title was Pronounced ‘Leh-’Nérd ‘Skin-’Nérd, and it includes eight songs. There are several songs on this album that are widely known, such as Free Bird, Simple Man, and Gimme Three Steps. In the United States, their album went Platinum three times, and it went Silver in the United Kingdom.

Second Helping
The following year they released another album, called Second Helping. This album went Platinum twice in the United States. This album has the iconic American home song, Sweet Home Alabama. This song is still played and sung on the radios today. Some other songs on this album are: I Need You, The Needle and the Spoon, and Workin’ for MCA.
Nuthin’ Fancy
In 1975, they released their third record labeled Nuthin’ Fancy. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s album went Platinum again in the U.S. They have a total of eight songs on this album. There were several songs that hit the peak on the music lists that can be found on this album.

Give Me Back My Bullets
Their fourth record went gold in 1976 when they released Gimme Back My Bullets. Several songs reached the number one spot all around the world. One of the songs was a hit, which is the same name as the album. There is another song that cries about a bad man. There are nine songs on this album that rock and roller’s love to listen to.
Street Survivors
Street Survivors went Platinum twice in the United States the year after they released their gold album in 1976. One More Time is the popular song that came off this album. This album was created after they recorded a live album called One More from the Road. This was the same year they recorded another studio album. Other songs they recorded on this album are: What’s Your Name, That Smell, and Honky-Tonk, Night Time Man.

Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991
After the plane crash they took a break from touring and recording from 1977 to 1991. In that time span, they did several other compilation albums. Then in 1991, they recorded the album Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991. This album hit the top of charts all over the world. In the U.S., it went Gold. Some favorite songs on this album are: Keeping the Faith, End of the Road, and Backstreet Crawler.

1993 Album
In 1993, they went into the recording studio and created a Last Rebel album. They have ten songs on this album. Several songs made it to the top of the music charts after it was released. One of the songs is Born to Run. They released several other songs that hit the top of the music charts after their break in recording.

1997-2003 Albums
After The Last Rebel, they recorded three more albums in the studio: Twenty, Edge of Forever, and Vicious Cycle. All three albums were in the top one hundred on the music charts all over the world. On the album Twenty, the song Home is Where the Heart is, is popular in the United States. The song Edge of Forever was the big hit on the album Edge of Forever; and Vicious Cycle’s hit songs were Dead Man Walkin’ and Rockin’ Little Town.

Latest Album
The latest album that Lynyrd Skynyrd released was in 2009 labeled Gods & Guns. This album features two of their favorite songs: Still Unbroken, and Simple Life. They recorded twelve songs on this album, and the album peaked on the charts all over the world. It was one of their most popular albums since they started recording. They have also released a live audience album in 2010, labeled Live From Freedom Hell, and a compilation album called Icon. They have recorded several other albums that people can add to their Lynyrd Skynyrd collection.
